"Mimetite"
The Meeting was organized for the first time in Padua in 1976 with the aim of promoting contacts and exchanges of minerals between Italian “micromounts” collectors. Since 1987 the Meeting has taken place in Cremona and from 1989 onwards it became an international event.
In previous shows collectors from Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Unites States, Denmark, Morocco, Spain, Holland, Canada, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have taken part.
Program of Manifestation
Saturday 18 :
h 16.00 : Welcome the foreign collectors and first trades.
h 19.30 : Convivial Dinner (22,00 Euro all-inclusive); anyone who'd like to take part in it is asked to book in advance on applying for admission.
h 21.30 : Assembly Hall: "Sulle tracce delle miniere faraoniche egiziane: alcuni spunti di mineralogioa ed archeologia." lecture delivered by Dr. Marco Marchesini.
Sunday 19 :
h 08.45 : Beginning of the Meeting.
h 10.30 : Conclusion of the delivery of the specimens that were present at the "Mimetite" Competition.
h 12.00 : Competition's awarding of prizes and Aperitif offered by the "G.M.C.”
h 17.00 : "Meeting's" conclusion.
